Report to the House: Kenya elects its president this Tuesday in a close-run general election.

Nairobi, August 8 (EFE) - (Image: Pablo Moraga) Kenya goes to the polls this Tuesday to elect its president in a close-fought general election marked by the rising cost of living, following a largely peaceful campaign but amid fears of a repeat of the violence of previous elections. Kenyan Vice President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are the two favorites in the presidential race for this election, one of the most competitive in Africa. Lawyers George Wajackoyah and David Mwaure are also running, with no realistic chance of winning. ON-CAMERA REPORT BY EFE'S KENYA CORRESPONDENT, LUCÍA BLANCO.
