A new season of influenza comes an update to the composition of flu shots. Both egg-based and cell-based vaccines are available with similar components. The flu shots for the US 2023-2024 season will be quadrivalent containing proteins associated with the following strains: Influenza A H1N1, Influenza A H3N2, Influenza B Victoria lineage, and Influenza B Yamagata lineage.
