Meet Missy a Domestic Shorthair currently available for adoption! 3/23/2023 7:09:09 PM

Missy: black/orange/white calico, short hair, spayed female, born 4/25/20, #15590 Charlie: orange tabby w/white, short hair, neutered male, born 4/25/20, #15591 Other cats: bonded, best as sole duo Dogs: probably not Children: quiet teen+/adults only Missy and Charlie entered Rescue House as wee kittens, and cute as buttons, they quickly were adopted. Fast-forward two years, and after encountering severe financial difficulties, their guardians became unable to provide for them. Confident that we would do our very best to find Missy and Charlie the perfect new home, they reached back out to us and gratefully surrendered their babies into our care. Missy and Charlie complement each other in all respects! Charlie is the more outgoing of the two and introduces himself to people and other kitties sooner than Missy. Missy is introspective and likes to evaluate the situation before dipping her paw into the pool. While Charlie may bound headfirst into mischief, Missy is there to rescue him and lead him back to safety if things take an unforeseen turn. They will turn your house into a home. Like most good things, they are worth waiting for, and this is important to remember because they did want us to let you know it will take time for them to settle in after you all move in together. A quiet home built on routine and stability is what they both crave and will help them feel secure. They do not feel comfortable speculating about the expected length of their adjustment period and humbly ask for your patience and compassion as they figure things out. You will know they have fully claimed your residence as their refuge once they begin greeting visitors and mingling easily like good hosts! Now, a little about each of them: ---Charlie is a goofball in the cat world and an all-around funny fellow! It might not happen overnight, however, after you two become besties, Charlie will plan his days around hanging out with you and depend on your petting sessions to give structure to his schedule. For play, he likes wand toys and the laser pointer. He also fancies the heights, and a tall cat tree is a must for this mountaineering muchacho! ---Missy agrees with Charlie about the benefits of climbing and enjoys the unique perspective on the world summiting a truly terrific peak provides. Comfortable asserting boundaries, she will let you know if she’s up for some affection, and if she is not in the mood, she politely will request that you try again later. In exchange for catering to her whims, Missy will provide you with stellar pest control. Catching crickets is her specialty, and also happens to be one of her fave things to do, so insects beware! ---Charlie and Missy MUST be adopted together. Charlie likes other kitties a lot; Missy can be skeptical. They did not interact with the blind Shar Pei who lived in the backyard at their previous home. Given their temperaments, we are not sure pooches would work for them. They occasionally were in the company of a three-year-old child and did not like that very much. Agreeing the kiddo was not their jam, they would hide from him. These two blooms hope you have room in your heart and home for a bashful duo who will blossom in your care and love you forever when given time to open up. Please consider allowing them to be your floofy feline flowers!
