Teens, young adults, parents - thank you for joining me on this devotional ❤️ This month we’ve been exploring the series: The Spirit Outside The Church. How the Holy Spirit works in education, government, innovation, and relationships. In the last devotional, we talked about the Spirit of DISCERNMENT in Elisha. Today, we are talking about the manifestation of the Spirit for LASTING RELEVANCE in Daniel. BIBLE READING: Daniel 4:1-9, Daniel 5:10-12, Daniel 6:3 Memory verse: Daniel 5: 12 "This man Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, has exceptional ability and is filled with divine knowledge and understanding. He can interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve difficult problems. Call for Daniel, and he will tell you what the writing means.” Daniel was taken captive as a teenager. His whole life got turned upside down. He could’ve been bitter. He could’ve quit God. Instead he doubled down on intimacy with God. Vegetables + water. Prayer. No compromise. And because of that, the Holy Spirit gave him: 1. DIVINE KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING 2. ABILITY TO SOLVE DIFFICULT PROBLEMS 3. WISDOM FOR GOVERNANCE Result? Daniel was relevant under 4 different kings and 4 different governments. Nebuchadnezzar → Belshazzar → Darius → Cyrus When everything changed around him, Daniel didn’t. Because the Spirit in him didn’t. Teen, if you want lasting impact in: School. Career. Government. Business. Content Creation. It starts with intimacy with God. When you make your life a "homely place" for the Holy Spirit, He manifests extraordinary abilities in you. And people will always need someone who brings solutions.
