The complex / complicated sword lore of all Devil May Cry games explained! Explaining the meaning of the names of the swords, describing the looks of each sword and how they change through games, and their story in the 1-5 series of DMC games. Talking about: The Rebellion, The Force Edge, The Devil Sword Sparda, The Devil Sword Dante, Alastor, The Yamato, and the Red Queen. I intentionally skipped talking about the visuals of the Red Queen in detail, cause I thought it kinda just looks the same in both games, but now as I'm uploading the video, it just hit me that it actually changes quite a bit in DMC 5 compared to 4, loosing its rose thorn patterns on it, but actually gets a huge combustion engine upgrade that Nico was talking about, also its noticably has more curveture~ So maybe stay tuned for an upcoming video where I fix it~ Quotes and references to Yama and Enma: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yama https://yokai.com/enmadaiou/ What does katana mean clip: • Samurai Cop - He speaks fluent Japanese -Special thanks for @nerothesky for providing the DMC clip, and his help at translating the kanji and meaning of Yamato! -Also thanks for @LucidEnigmaX the @TheToasterGent and for @maxderrat for being a good friend and encouraging me to make videos, check out their channels~ Also thanks for @Vegeta291 for chatting with me and pointing out Vergil throwing away the scabbard at the end of dmc 3, I would've never noticed~ You can also join discussions on my: Twitch: / elayza Discord: / discord Chapters: 00:00 Intro 01:17 The Rebellion 12:13 The Force Edge 18:41 The Devil Sword Sparda 26:58 The Devil Sword Dante 28:03 The Alastor 30:56 The Yamato - 閻魔刀 48:50 The Red Queen
