Gus Baha | THE GREATNESS OF DZIKIR WITH THE WORDS OF ALLAH

A scholar from Rembang. Gus Baha's full name is KH Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim. Gus Baha was born on September 29, 1970, in Narukan, Rembang, Central Java. Gus Baha is the son of KH Nursalim al-Hafizh and Hj Yuchanidz Nursalim. On his father's side, he is a fourth-generation Quranic scholar. On his mother's side, Gus Baha is part of the extended Lasem Islamic scholar family, the Bani Mbah Abdurrahman Basyaiban or Mbah Sambu. From a young age, Gus Baha studied the Quran with his father. As a teenager, he studied religious knowledge in greater depth with Syaikhona KH Maimoen Zubair (Mbah Moen) at the Al-Anwar Karangmangu Islamic Boarding School in Rembang. At the Islamic boarding school, Gus Baha was close to the kyai (Islamic scholars). He stood out and was often an exemplary student. Gus Baha is known as a scholar of Quranic exegesis with profound knowledge of the Quran. In addition to actively studying the Quran, Gus Baha serves as the Head of the Lajnah Mushaf (Muslative Council) at the Quranic Interpretation Institute at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) in Yogyakarta.
