Ukrainian Sukhoi SU-27 takes off, pilot surrenders to Romania... The Romanian Ministry of Defense announced it had forced a foreign warplane to land on Thursday (24/2) morning. The former communist country which is now a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has deployed two F-16 Fighting Falcon jets to prevent military aircraft from other countries from crossing its airspace. It was later revealed that the foreign fighter aircraft belonged to the Ukrainian Air Force . The aircraft is the sukhoi SU-27 type.
