ACTing out the Passengers on the Bus metaphor

ACTing out the Passengers on the Bus metaphor

This is a demonstration of how to act out the 'Passengers on the bus' metaphor, often used within Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The metaphor details different ways of responding to the kinds of unwanted thoughts and feelings that often show up when people try to pursue valued courses of action. The video shows how the metaphor can be adpated for use in a group therapy situation. Alternatively, it can be used as a resource by ACT practitioners to share with clients, or in training situations. This video was funded by the ACT Special Interest of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Find more information, training, and free resources for ACT practitioners at www.ACTivatingyourpractice.com
