Meet the Cornell University Solar Farms

Cornell University is working to power the Ithaca campus with 100% renewable energy by our target date for carbon neutrality, 2035. We develop solar resources that benefit our campus, community, and New York State, with an emphasis on large-scale solar farms and community solar projects. Facilities and data are accessible to faculty & students for living laboratory research and study, and our solar farms are producing new economic opportunities for farmers, as well as habitat for sheep and pollinator species. ------- For more information about approach to developing renewable energy to power our campus, including solar research, current renewable energy production, and on-site solar arrays at Cornell University: https://sustainablecampus.cornell.edu... --------- Development of our solar resources would not be possible without the support and partnership of our solar developers. Cornell University's solar farms are developed on Cornell land in partnership with Distributed Sun and Building Asset Management, LLC via power purchase agreements.
