A Dinosaur themed sci-fi light gun shooter from Capcom. In Dino Stalker, players took on the role of a World War II fighter pilot who's pulled into a time warp and sent back to the cretaceous period (or actually into the future as the story goes). Players battle it out with everything from velociraptors to T-Rex's, swarms of pterodactyls, and there's even giant sea serpents, among other oddities in this game. The game play feels a lot like the Jurassic Park arcade games, while some stages will better remind you of the Panzer Dragoon series. The game saw generally dismal reviews upon release, mostly over complaints regarding its controls. The game made use of the Guncon light guns, or you could use a standard controller. Trying to play with a controller feels impossible though, either way the controls were whacky. While the game may fall short in terms of controls, Capcom made up for it with Dino Stalker's immersive, story driven cinematic cut scenes. The game's story feels like something right out of a science fiction novel. The story begins in 2009, in which a new energy source code-named "Third energy" accidentally creates a dimensional time warp. The consequences are a devastation to humanity as the warp in time threatens to forever change the past, including the creation of mankind itself. As a result of the hayire energy source, a dimensional shift occurs in the Bolinia Republic, damaging the ecological system of the cretaceous period. In response, the U.S. government created a project called Noah's Ark Plan. Its mission was to send the creatures from the cretaceous period into the future until the events of the dimensional shift have passed. Recorded at 60 frames per second using OBS and PCSX2. Tried recording with a capture card directly off the PS2 console, but the controls were awful, and the output video was only 30FPS from the card.
