Gilbert Perreault 500th NHL Goal
March 9, 1986, Gilbert Perreault of the Buffalo sabres scored the 500th goal of his NHL career, as he beat Alain Chevrier and the New Jersey Devils. Ted Darling was on the play-by-play call. The Sabres would defeat the Devils 4-3 in the hockey game on a goal with appx 4 min remaing in the 3rd period on a Doug Smith goal.
