Weekly WTF: Steelers stun everyone by signing former number-two pick Mitch Trubisky
The Pittsburgh Steelers started the 2022 NFL free agency period with a bang, signing one of the veteran quarterbacks available on the market. According to NFL reporter Mike Garafolo, the Steelers have reached an agreement on a two-year contract with former Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Trubisky is a former first-round pick of the Chicago Bears, second overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, and who most recently backed up Josh Allen in Buffalo. His signing with the Steelers could make for an interesting QB room in Pittsburgh, with Mason Rudolph under contract, and Dwayne Haskins tendered as an exclusive rights free agent (with an original round tag).
