Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday announced an extension of the lockdown in Telangana till May 7 to check the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the State, even as several parts of the country prepared to ease the lockdown norms from Monday, a move seen by many as detrimental to the massive efforts to contain the virus. The Chief Minister said: “There is no question of any kind of relaxation in Telangana State. The State Cabinet discussed all the factors including the present status of the disease in the State.
