Rare Ontario At-Home Wine Tasting

THIS IS THE VIDEO THAT WENT ALONG WITH OUR RARE ONTARIO WINE TASTING KIT FROM MARCH/APRIL 2021. Here are a few notes to give you a preview of how to set this up… 1. The virtual class is in this YouTube video. It has been designed to include “pauses” so you can stop and start it as you wish. 2. We have included links below to the Tasting Notes, wine region map and photo of the bottles for this class. 3. The white wines and rosé should be chilled in advance. You can take the rosé out of the fridge about 15 minutes prior to the starting. The two reds should be opened about 1 hour prior to class, if possible. 4. As for glassware, having one glass per person is just fine. As we will be moving from whites to rosé to red, a simple quick rinse in between tastings will be fine. If you are lucky to have different glass types, choose a smaller, slightly more narrow glass for the whites and rosé and a larger wide-bowl glass for the reds. 5. Suggested food/cheese pairings: hummus and veggies, goat cheese or feta, gruyere or fontina, brie, aged cheddar or other hard cheese. Plain bread or crackers are good palates cleansers too! Make sure to have water nearby!
