Tonight, this is my prayer. Let there be peace on earth! As we forge ahead to the end of 2020, it's important to acknowledge the collective trauma we have experienced surviving covid, the violence of racism, massive political division and erupting violence on a global scale. There is only one who restores-- He has a name! His name is Jesus! He is the promise! As we prepare our hearts for the days to come, I pray we reflect on our own behavior. Have I been kind? Have I stirred up division? Have I only been focused on my perspective? What have I done to ease someone else's journey? Have I ushered in peace or have I brought strife? Have I contributed to the unkindness that seems to have taken over every sense of civility towards my fellow man? Have my words been kind, necessary and brought healing? Deep thoughts for a Tuesday....The Bible states in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."
