GTA VI Trailer 2: Which shots are Gameplay VS Cutscenes? An in-depth analysis for each shot!

In this video, I have done an in-depth analysis of the GTA 6 Trailer 2 and explained which parts I think are gameplay footage and which ones are scripted cutscenes. There are certain indicators in each shot which are telltale signs of whether the shot is captured during gameplay or just a part of a cutscene. Keep in mind, we do not know how fleshed out the gameplay would actually be. Some of these complex shots that we feel are cutscenes right now could actually be just gameplay footage owing to the advancements Rockstar has made. This categorization is based on my experiences with playing previous Rockstar Games titles and their trailers. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts in the comments below. Do you agree with my results? I would love to hear your breakdown of the shots shown in this trailer. Do drop your suggestions on how I could further improve the video presentations for topics like these! Thanks for Watching! With the much anticipated 2nd Trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI finally releasing, Rockstar Games have confirmed that the trailer comprises of equal parts gameplay and cutscene footage. This is expected from Rockstar Games as they have done this with the trailers of their modern games such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption II. The in-game cutscenes are also rendered in-engine and in real-time. They do not use pre-rendered CGI like some other games do. The gameplay snippets used in trailers are simply shown from a different perspective that is different to the usual 3rd/1st person POV that we as players are used to. This is to make sure the trailer has that cinematic look to it. This can be easily done using tools like the Rockstar Editor. Rockstar Games probably have a much more advanced version of that tool at their disposal to make these complex shots during gameplay appear similar to the cutscenes. GTA VI will be releasing on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, if no further delays are announced. No mention of PC version yet, which will be released later as usual. It will also be another entry to the HD universe of Grand Theft Auto.
