The ANC is holding its 5th National General Council in Boksburg, Gauteng. ANC Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula, says the party has moved to reinforce accountability and performance monitoring within its structures, including the reinstatement of annual reports issued by the Secretary-General's office. National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, visited the Saulsville Hostel, west of Pretoria, following a mass shooting that claimed 12 lives, including three minors, on Saturday. Police say, during an argument, a male officer shot and killed his female colleague and later turned the gun on himself. National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola has confirmed that the police have found one of the two vehicles, believed to have been used in the assasination of Marius Van Der Merwe, who testified as Witness D before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the second phase of a U.S. plan to end the war in Gaza is close, but cautions that several key issues still needed to be resolved, including whether a multinational security force would be deployed.
