Two bystanders caught in crossfire, shot in Avondale gun fig

AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Two innocent bystanders were shot after getting caught in the crossfire of a gun battle in Avondale early Friday morning. A 54-year-old woman was shot three times in the leg and a man was shot in the ankle. Both victims' injuries are non-life threatening. It happened on Reading Road near Greenwood around 1:30 a.m. Witnesses told police that it sounded like a machine gun. Police are searching for a green van that could have been involved.
