World Today: India-Pak Leaders Spar At UNSC Meet; Tawang Clash With China Complicates G20 Presidency

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari got into a war of words at the United Nations Security Council meeting. Bhutto responded to S Jaishankar’s “Hosting Osama Bin Laden” comment and attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I want to tell India that Osama bin Laden is dead, but the butcher of Gujarat lives and he is the Prime Minister of India,” Pakistan Foreign Minister Bhutto said. After Indian and Chinese forces clashed at Tawang, the question that arises is how the government will tread the tricky waters of ensuring China's participation in the upcoming G20 meet while sending a stern warning about the skirmish. Many experts believe that bilateral tensions might not act as an impediment to India’s plans, since China is also trying to engage the ‘Global South’. #indiachinafaceoff #indiachinanews #tawang #g20summit #worldnews Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
