If your goal is to build muscle, strength, and add overall size to your frame, you should see what happens when you lift heavier every week. With progressive overload, you're not restricted to just adding more weight to the barbell. Increasing your training volume and changing up the tempo of your reps will also do the trick. The most important thing however is to give your body a reason to grow more muscle or get stronger. Your workouts need to get more challenging for you in some way for your body to have that reason. A good saying you should live by is "Train harder than last time!". This will ensure your body is introduced to more and more stimuli and will push your body to adapt. It's a simple concept but hard to implement consistently. But with a well-thought-out program, you can have no problem with continuously seeing progress in the gym. ________________________________________ Subscribe ➤ / @fitandcurious ________________________________________ CHAPTERS 0:00 - INTRO 0:30 - WHAT IS PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD? 1:06 - WHY IS PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD IMPORTANT? 2:51 - HOW TO PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD 3:56 - VOLUME 4:18 - TRAIN HARDER THAN LAST TIME ________________________________________ Welcome to Fit & Curious!
