The big freeze will continue to grip much of Britain, with temperatures forecast to plummet so low the UK could see its coldest night in almost a decade. The Met Office has warned temperatures are expected to fall to -11C in southern England and -16C in eastern Scotland. But the dropping temperatures will be short lived, with milder air expected to push its way across the country from Sunday, the Met Office said. Thick blankets of snow caused widespread disruption and treacherous conditions across southern Britain on Thursday and Friday. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on Facebook:   / itvnews   Follow ITV News on Twitter:   / itvnews   Follow ITV News on Instagram:   / itvnews
