Over the weekend, the Martin Volunteer Fire Department responded to a truck fire that occurred directly in front of the fire station. Earlier this morning, an accident on Highway 496 blocked both lanes of traffic before daylight, causing delays for early commuters. In other local news, Sedarian Jones of Newton, who was wanted by the Newton Police Department in connection with a burglary, has turned himself in to authorities.
