Amritpal Singh: ఖలిస్తానీ ఉద్యమం.. పంజాబీ ప్రాంతాన్ని ప్రత్యేక దేశంగా గుర్తించాలంటూ సాగుతోన్న ఉద్యమం. కొన్ని దశాబ్దాల క్రితం ఉదృతంగా సాగిన ఈ ఉద్యమం భింద్రన్‭వాలా మరణం అనంతరం చల్లబడింది. ఇక ఇందిరా గాంధీ హత్య అనంతరం జరిగిన సిక్కుల ఉచకోత తర్వాత పెద్దగా చర్చలో లేకుండా పోయింది. అప్పుడప్పుడు ఎక్కడో ఒకచోట ఖలిస్తాన్ నినాదాలో, సానుభూతిపరుల చర్యలో కనిపించినప్పటికీ అవంత పెద్దగా చెప్పుకునేవి అయితే కావు. ఇక పంజాబీ రాజకీయ పార్టీలు, నేతలు కూడా ఖలిస్తాన్ అంశాన్ని పక్కన పెట్టేశారు. మళ్లీ ఇంత కాలానికి ఈ నినాదం చర్చలోకి వచ్చింది. చర్చేనా.. ఈ ఉద్యమం మరోసారి బలపడుతున్నట్లుగానే కనిపిస్తోంది Amritpal Singh: Khalistani movement... a movement to recognize the Punjab region as a separate country.
