Here are FOUR classic stories from J. Sheridan Le Fanu, E.F. Benson, M.R. It follows Ted, who visits his sister and her husband at the house. Strange events unfold, with Ted’s brother-in-law hearing things, his sister seeing things, and Ted experiencing both. The story leaves readers to interpret the supernatural occurrences and the unresolved mystery of a suspected murder. 3) The Rose Garden - By M.R. James. 1:07:17 "The Rose Garden" is a ghost story by British writer M. R. James, included in his 1911 collection More Ghost Stories of an Antiquary. The story revolves around Mrs. Anstruther, who wishes to plant a rose garden. However, the clearing she intends to use gives people nightmares, and they hear whispers near an old post in the clearing. As she and her husband learn the area's history, they uncover an injustice that took place there. The story combines elements of horror and mystery, creating an eerie atmosphere that lingers long after reading. Intriguingly, the tale explores the intersection of the mundane and the supernatural, as the seemingly innocent act of planting roses becomes entangled with dark secrets from the past. M. R. This house has a dark history: a century ago, a servant girl was murdered by her jealous suitor.
