Carbon Day: Conference on Ireland's Climate Change Strategy In the context of the Department of the Environment's public consultation on climate policy and legislation, the Institute brought together key policymakers and stakeholders to discuss policy options for Ireland's future climate strategy. The purpose of the conference was to assist members and other stakeholders in the preparation of their responses to the consultation, which is due to conclude at the end of April. Sessions explored Ireland's future GHG emissions trajectory, prospects for the long-term price of carbon, and the roadmap for climate policy and legislation. Sectoral sessions focused on agriculture, transport, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
