Hundreds of Iranian hardliners including students from seminary schools shouted “Death to France” and accused French President Emanuel Macron of committing “treason” against Iran while urging Paris to stop “animosity” towards Tehran. It is rare in Iran to burn flag of France though hardliners traditionally burn the U.S. Stars and Stripes during their demonstrations. Security was tight and police did not allow protesters to reach the embassy building . Iran’s parliament speaker Mohmmad Bagher Qalibaf Sunday condemned the magazine and urged foreign ministry to continue its reprisal activities “strongly” against France. He said the cartoons reflected anger of the West over its failure in spreading “riots.” Iran accuses the West of fomenting and supporting protests that have trembled Iran for nearly four months after death in custody of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman who had been detained by Iran’s morality police for allegedly violating the country’s strict Islamic dress code AP video shot by Mohsen Ganji =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
