Another broken Seagate External Desktop Hard Drive. Enclosure doesn't power up

Disclaimer: This is a broken seagate freeagent desk external 3.5" hard drive. It's capacity was 500gb. I'm not sure when it failed but as of 6/2014 it was no longer working. The internal hard drive works perfectly fine. But like so many external enclosures, the external enclosure no longer powers up. I did not do any further testing as I'm not a big fan of Seagate. I should have just tried a different AC power adapter, and that might have fixed the problem. AC adapters should only cost you a few dollars,.. but it might be in fact cheaper just to buy a completely new external enclosure that comes included with a power supply. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product...
