Following a hectic day to become South Korea's first head of state to attend a mass Chinese military parade in Beijing, President Park Geun-Hye today (Friday) attended a ceremony to reopen Korea's former provisional government building in Shanghai. The historic building was used by Korea's provisional government for more than a dozen years from 1919 during Japan's colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula. The reopening of the building was designed to mark this year's 70th anniversary of the Korean liberation from Japanese colonialists. Park is scheduled to wrap up her three-day visit to China, meeting with the Korean community and attending a Korea-China business forum before her return to Seoul later in the day. Park has been accompanied by more than 150 South Korean businessmen and leaders of key economic organizations during the current Chinese trip, the largest-ever business delegation for a presidential trip abroad.
