Politics?? How politics are impacting STEM Schools

Should politics and political agendas influence your school choice? The answer is MAYBE. While schools have been bracing for the enrollment cliff that is hitting THIS YEAR, recent Federal policy changes are impacting schools in other ways. Universities are seeing research grants cancelled, the number of international students restricted, and endowments taxed. The impacts range from fewer classes being offered, to hiring freezes, to reduced or cancelled graduate programs. All of this impacts different schools in different ways so it's becoming more important to understand how your potential STEM schools operate before choosing one. The school you choose will directly dictate how you experience the impacts of these policy changes. Questions? Leave a comment. Looking for insight or advice on a specific school? Leave a comment.
