5 World Trade Center Public Hearing on General Project Plan Modification, Environmental Impact

On January 13, 2022, the Lower Manhattan Developmental Corporation and the Empire State Development Corporation held a public hearing on proposed changes to the World Trade Center General Project Plan to allow a residential building, new "mixed-use guidelines," and an environmental impact finding of "no adverse impacts." I, Todd Fine, would like to clarify that Matt Kapp and Mike Marcucci state that Silverstein Properties or Larry Silverstein did not fund the film 16 Acres (2014). Mr. Marcucci is a consultant for Silverstein who has worked on other media projects. Additionally, Jenny Chao is not mentioned in Matt Kapp's book, A Century Downtown (2020), which was funded by Silverstein. Rather, a person named Jenny Chao is mentioned in an acknowledgement sentence with other people tied to Silverstein in Once More to the Sky: The Rebuilding of the World Trade Center (2021), a book by Scott Raab and ‎Joe Woolhead. Joe Woolhead was a speaker during the forum who did not disclose his precise connections working with Silverstein. I do not know if Jenny Chao has any ties to Silverstein or what is her connection to the World Trade Center.
