25 Christmas Cookies From the 1960s and 70s That Have Disappeared There was a time when Christmas didn’t begin with store-bought trays or supermarket tins. It began with a dog-eared copy of Mom’s or Grandma’s favorite Christmas cookie cookbook fanned open to the pages stained with vanilla, butter, and red food coloring. You’d hear the mixer humming while the radio played Bing Crosby, the windows fogged over from the oven heat, and a bowl of candied cherries waiting on the counter like tiny ornaments. But somewhere along the way, those Christmas cookie traditions slipped out of our kitchens and vanished from our holiday tables. Today, we’re opening those cherished cookbooks back to the pages that once felt like Christmas itself — to remember 25 forgotten cookies that shaped our holidays more than we ever realized. #christmascookies #vintagechristmas #nostalgia #retrorecipes #holidaybaking #1960srecipes #1970srecipes #bettycrocker #christmas2025 #oldfashionedrecipes #vintagebaking #nostalgicfoods #holidaytraditions #foodmemories #christmasnostalgia 📺 Watch the entire video for more information!
