Colorectal cancer is the second most common cancer among women and the third most common cancer among men in Germany (Federal Ministry of Health). A colonoscopy can significantly reduce the risk of developing or dying from this disease. However, according to the Berlin Cancer Society, only half of all people undergo this preventative examination. Why is a colonoscopy so important?
