Gospel: Matthew 5:1-12 - The Beatitudes, where Jesus teaches about the blessedness of those who are poor in spirit, meek, and persecuted for righteousness' sake. The Beatitudes highlight God's preference for the humble and marginalized, offering a vision of happiness that's contrary to worldly values.
