LIVING A LIFE FULLY YIELDED TO THE HOLY SPIRIT Wednesday 18th June 2025-Midweek Service Every spiritual activity you engage in, in the house of the Lord must lead you to the person of Jesus. We must desire to touch Jesus(our focus) with our praise, worship, giving, prayer, and any other spiritual activity. This is how you break out of religion: having a form of godliness and carrying a sense of spirituality but no life in it. Life is proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a place. (2 Timothy 3:5) Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. When God moulded man, he had no life until God breathed life into him. If God does not breathe into that business, career, marriage, ministry, etc., it will have a form but no life. Life can only be introduced into the form by the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is why we should labour to make room for the Holy Spirit. Unless He is in what you are doing, there is no life. (Zechariah 4:6) Luke 4:1 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, When Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit, the first thing that happened was being led by the Holy Spirit. The most powerful proof of a man who is filled with the Holy Spirit is when that person comes under the leadership of the Holy Spirit; Fully yielded their will and submitted to the Holy Spirit. This is the place we need to come into, fully submitted and trusting the Lord. Jesus never got it wrong at any one point, not because He was God but because He was fully yielded to and led by the Holy Spirit. Ezekiel 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. [27] I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. A heart of stone is self-willed, stubborn, and clinging to what it desires. The war in Galatians 5 and Romans 7 is the war of 'I'. If you can learn to yield to the Holy Spirit and submit 'I' to the Lord, life will become easy and you'll enjoy the life of the Spirit. God makes our walk of salvation easy by coming and sitting in us and causing us to walk in His will. He influences our will and desire, so that we begin to desire and will what He desires and wills. If you do not practice yielding to the Holy Spirit, your life will be one of trial and error. God already knows your end from the beginning, He speaks from eternity; there is no reason why you should not trust Him. Why should you suffer and die like a mere man? If God is your helper, trust Him and His Word. Isaiah 11:1-3,Isaiah 63:10 These are the seven-fold manifestations of the Spirit of the Lord, and this Spirit dwells in us. You can no longer make choices and judgments by your senses and with the knowledge of good and evil but by the Spirit. The difference between those who are born again and those who are not is where they base their judgment. However, it is possible to be born again but still be carnal (unspiritual) in your judgments. Do not resist the Holy Spirit like the children of Israel did in the wilderness. Do not limit or restrict Him. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, you cannot enter into the manifestation of what Jesus has done for you. The salvation journey is impossible without the help of the Holy Spirit- give Him His rightful place in your life. This is why you need to pray—prayer kills the flesh and lets the Holy Spirit work in your soul. It causes your spirit to rise over your flesh. (Matthew 26:41) Pray that the Heavenly Father may take away the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh, one that is pliable. May He teach and help you to yield to and trust Him. Prayer: Father, I yield myself to You the best way I know how. Precious Holy Spirit, in my strength and ability, I am unable to; please help me submit myself to Your guidance, quickening, leadership, and movements in my heart. Thank you for enabling me to start a fresh walk with You in all areas of my life. I trust You with my present and future. As You lead, I will follow. Amen.
