Ep1 of a BAFTA-winning British TV mini-series telling the true story of Major Herbert Rowse Armstrong TD MA, a solicitor of Hay-on-Wye, Brecknockshire, who in 1920 took drastic action end his unhappy marriage to his eccentric wife Katherine Mary. The series stars Michael Kitchen as Major Armstrong, Sarah Miles as Katherine Armstrong, David Thewlis as Oswald Martin and Lesley Sharp as Constance, Martin's wife. It won a BAFTA in 1995. Dir.
