Inside Pharrell Williams 'Blurred Lines' Deposition
Marvin Gaye's family claims that "Blurred Lines" is a blatant rip off of their dad's classic song, "Got to Give It Up." But Pharrell disagrees, Yahoo Music Managing Editor Lyndsey Parker explained, "He said he was sort of inspired by the groove of Got to Give It Up but not copying the song." But could his love of Marvin Gaye's sound tarnish his brand? Lyndsey doesn't think so. She said, "He has a long career to draw from to show that he's legit."
