The Market Of Light - Unreal Engine 5 Tech Demo | Ryzen 5 3600 & RTX 3060 Ti | 1080p | 1440p | 4K

Greetings, everybody. Today we’re testing an Unreal Engine 5…tech demo, called The Market Of Light, from the studio historia Inc. It’s free to download on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/16... My current PC specs: -CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull). -Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. -GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC and WHQL driver 472.12. -RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (2x8GB) CL16 DDR4@3200 Mhz. -Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S. and game), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB. -Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2x140 Front, 1x120 Lower Front - Exhaust: 1x140 Rear, 1x120 Top/VRM Area). -PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold. -O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.21H1). -Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p-240Hz. Some timestamps: 00:00 - Intro and 1080p demo run 08:02 - How to edit the .ini files for Resolution and Super Sampling (Resolution Scale) 08:47 - 1440p vs 4K side by side, using 133 and 200% ScreenPercentage (Engine.ini file edit) 15:44 - Find all the orbs and you get a colorful surprise This is not a benchmark per se, it’s a playable demo , very short, in which we control a firefly and need to collect some white orbs to activate other colored bigger orbs (red, green and blue), and then the demo is complete. There are several orbs scatted around the market, some are a bit hidden, and if you collect them all something very colorful happens; there’s no need to collect them all to finish the demo, though. If you want to learn more about some of these UE 5 techniques, there’s plenty of info out there, like: https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/bl... But you can find a lot more with a quick Google search, for sure. In any case, it’s just a demo using the beta version of UE 5, which is what can be used for now, since Epic does not recommend shipping any current games on UE 5, because things all not completely polished yet. Still, interesting tech to see already, even if this demo doesn’t look visually that impressive, compared to others or different synthetic benchmarks, most of what Nanite or Lumen do is quite under the hood, and you’d need to see the triangle counts and stuff like that to understand how much optimization these new techniques add, coming from UE 4. As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I’ll see you next time : ) #TheMarketOfLight #RTX3060Ti #UnrealEngine5
