Fourty percent of all of the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing videos have been uploaded now. Since the spring semester at my university is approaching to its end now, I should have the opportunity to upload more Single Race videos within the end of May to the beginning of June. That will depend, however, on how busy I get. I've noticed that plenty of online human opponents like to choose to play as Shadow for races. Individual preference on using this character is greatly unknown to me, but he seems to be one of the better characters to use for this game. He has a very smooth ability to drift (especially when switching directions for performing multiple drifts on a single part of the pathway), quite speedy, and, being one of the motorbike-riding characters, he can perform equally well on all terrain types. The Dark Arsenal course is narrow and does not have any alternative routes, but its many twists provide a great amount of opportunity for getting turbo boosts from drifts. There are also plenty of Eggman's robots providing as track hazards on this course. It is advised to watch where they will travel to and try to evade them or precisely defend your character with a power-up, even if it means missing a power-up capsule along the way (especially for the purple-colored robots that travel on conveyor belts). Motorbike-riding characters can also perform tricks by pressing the up and down directional buttons repeatedly a few times (as far as I recall for using the Wii Wheel control scheme on the Wii version of the game; I'm not entirely sure how it works on the other versions). I believe these can make the character travel faster, but I have not confirmed this from the perfomance of tricks during this race recording. The tricks are demonstrated in the beginning part of each lap in the video (which I've determined was the best place to show them). This footage was recorded from the Nintendo Wii version of the game. The single race was played with the Wii Wheel control scheme, What U Need" music, and Advanced difficulty.
