On Friday, May 18, 2018 officers of the Seattle Police Department were called to the Franklin High School after school staff found a loaded handgun in the student's backpack. The 18-year-old student was called to the principal's office around 9 AM because he smelled like marijuana, and when he found out that the school was going to look in his bag he confessed that there might be a loaded gun in there. Just maybe. You know. Why not. School staff confirmed the presence of a gun (and someone else's credit card) and the police were called. The student was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, and stolen property. The police investigation did not find any indications that there was a threat of violence against the school. ~~~ /r/realworldpolice @realworldpolice ~~~ Want to help make Real World Police happen and get rewarded for it?
