Heavy rain has battered Britain overnight leaving commuters facing severe delays on the transport network and traffic chaos in parts of the country this morning as weather warnings remain in place. Photos and videos show severe flooding on some roads in London where the Met Office says more than an inch of rain fell in one hour this morning but warns some areas of the UK could see up to three inches later today.
