In the midst of COVID-19, there are a lot of headlines out there. You'll see some saying "No Mortgage Payment For Three Months" or "No Foreclosure" or "No Evictions," so on and so forth. But is it really that simple? The headlines don't tell you the whole story. A lot of mortgage lenders are using a tool called Forbearance right now to help those with a mortgage who have been affected by COVID-19. Just because a mortgage service provider allows you to go three months without a mortgage payment, does not mean that money is now still owed. There's no such thing as free money when it comes to your mortgage.
