Multiple Migrants Come Ashore During Apparent Smuggling Operation In Lauderdale By The Sea Florida Multiple migrants made it to land after beaching their boat just south of the areas famous landmark, Anglin's Fishing Pier, here: https://goo.gl/maps/hrDUUhU9ZFXfV7oS7 Witnesses saw them jumping from the their boat as it came ashore and begin running south from it carrying backpacks and other belongings. Some witnesses called 911 before the boat landed so BSO deputies were waiting to greet some of the illegal visitors with a smile and handcuffs. Most, but not all were taken into custody by BSO and transferred to Customs and Border Protection officers. This occurred on 12/19.
