Ovom veštinom se bavila i bavi prvi ženski DJ iz Vankuvera, B.Traits, koja je otkrila ljubav prema muzici jako rano. Sa samo 16, kupila je prvu ploču i slušalice i krenula da sledi svoju strast ka underground muzici. Uskoro je postala ekspert u miksanju bitova sa impresivnom sposobnošću da spaja melodije svih muzičkih žanrova. Nakon što se preselila iz Vankuvera, B.Traits je počela da gradi karijeru, oduševljavajući ljude na densflorovima njenim DJ setovima i scenskim prisustvom. U svojim setovima spaja teške ritmove i bas, koji su je doveli do avangarde u današnjoj underground muzici. 2007. godine nju je otkrio jungle -- drum 'n' bass legenda Shy FX. Vlasnik je izdavačke kuće "Digital SoundBoy Recordings" za koju izdaju i rade Breakage, Benny Page, Donae'o, Stamina MC, Redlight, Skream, Benga, Marky... Sa samo 23 godine B.Traits pravi turneje po Aziji, Americi, Evropi i Kanadi i gostuje u muzičkim emisijama na BBC Radio 1 i Ministry of Sound. Pored toga zauzima posebno mesto u muzičkim časopisima uključujuci Mix Mag, DJ Mag, Knowledge Mag i ATM Magazine. U industriji u kojoj dominiraju muškarci DJ-evi i producenti, ona reflektuje ženu dublje od feminističkog stereotipa, rušeći sve granice i kršeći sva pravila. Sa poštovanjem svih muzičkih žanrova, B. This art form has not only been admired, but closely studied and refined by Vancouver's premier female DJ, B.Traits. Born and raised in Nelson, B.C., B.Traits discovered her adoration for music at a very early age. At 16, in search of a creative outlet, she picked up a turntable and a small pair of headphones and began to pursue her passion for underground music. She quickly became an expert at blending and mixing beats smoothly and effortlessly with an impressive ability to draw and select tunes from all genres of the music spectrum. In 2004, after relocating to Vancouver, BC, B.Traits began to make a name for herself as she astounded dance floors with her enchanting DJ sets and magnetic stage presence. Her emotional persona of chaos and desire, fused with heavy beats and booming bass has now led her to the vanguard of the underground music community. In 2007, B.Traits was recruited by the Digital Sound Boy himself, Shy FX, making her the first Digital Sound Girl on his world renown UK based record label Digital Soundboy Recordings. At the age of only 23, she has captivated audiences all over the globe, touring Asia, Europe, USA and Canada. She has performed at some of most respected and exclusive events and venues and has taken the stage alongside electronic musics finest artists. B.Traits has also dominated the radio waves with guest appearances on popular dance music stations such as BBC Radio 1 and Ministry of Sound. She has been featured in numerous magazines including MixMag, DJ Mag, and Knowledge Mag and has also graced the cover of ATM magazine in the July issue of 2008. In an industry that is dominated by male DJ's/Producers, she reflects a woman deeper than the hyper-feminine stereotype, confronting conformity, tearing down boundaries and rewriting all the rules.
