Deviana is a German Music graduate and with a long list of skills, she returned to Indonesia in early 2000 and founded Institut Musik Daya Indonesia (IMDI), the first Music Academy with European Union standardized curriculum. IMDI is partner school of University of Arts, Design & Music (HKDM), Freiburg – Germany. 1990 – 1995 Deviana was the Artistic Director of Jazz & Rockschulen Freiburg-Germany. She designed the new Music curriculum for modern study based on Classical tradition, validated by the German Federal Government. 1990 – 1998 as a professor at the Music Academy Basel-Switzerland, where she also designed the curriculum for modern vocal study, validated by the Swiss Association of Music Educators (SMPV) and Swiss Government. During those years, she was also active as freelance Music Director, Composer & Vocal Coach for Actors at the National Basel Theater Swiss. As a classical concert pianist Deviana performed at various concerts in Germany & Switzerland and as a jazz pianist with her Trio, she performed at numerous International Jazz Festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festvial, Stuttgart Jazz Open, Grand Lancy Jazz Geneva, to name a view. She received prestigious awards such as “The Best Music Educator” by the Freiburg Mayor – Germany and honored with the title “the Lightness of Being”. 1977 - 1979 5 times 1st winner of the National Jazz & Pop Band competitions in Germany 1982 – 1983 2 times 1st winner of the National Swiss Vocal Competition 1997 1st winner of Jazz & RnB Contest in Switzerland with New Grace featuring Rhonda Dorsey (USA) & Sharon Harris (USA) and the German Professors Band PRADYUMNA SINGH MANOT Paddy started playing the piano at the age of six. Since that time he has been extensively studying Western Classical, Jazz, Latin, Latin jazz and North Indian classical music. He has played at the World’s biggest jazz festival, the Java Jazz Festival where he received accolades from great names of jazz including George Benson, Roy Hargrove and Joey de Franscesco. He has performed with many jazz artists such as American jazz singer Claire Michaud, Canadian trombonist Alistair Kay (Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, etc.), star bassist Steve Zerlin, Alex Stuart and Indian guitar legend Sumith Ramachandran, among others. He has also been a regular artist of the Congo Square Jazz Festival for past 8 years. Abroad he has also performed in Hong Kong, Indonesia, UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Macau, Bangladesh. Paddy is also a founder member of the Latin- jazz bands Los Amigos and Jazzeando. With Indian musicians Paddy has played with Grammy winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Sabir Khan, Pandit Vikku Vinayakram, Ustad Taufique Quereshi, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ustad Raza Ali Khan, Pt.Tarun Bhattacharya, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, among others. He has toured and performed with the world famous tap dancer Jason Samuel Smith and world famous kathak maestro Pandit Chitresh Das.
