This video is a tribute to Ronald Curry. Ronald is arguably the greatest high school athlete to ever live. Curry dominated two sports like no athlete ever has. In 1997 he was awarded the Dial Award given to nations top high school scholar-athlete. Curry is the only athlete in American high school history to be named the national player of the year in both football and basketball in the same season. Curry is the first football player in American high school history to be named a 2x 1st team All-American by USA Today. He led Hampton high school to 3x consecutive state titles from 1995-1997 and a basketball title in 1998. His combined record as the starting QB for Hampton was 51-2, the 1996 Hampton Crabbers are widely regarded as the best team in Virginia high school history out scoring their opponents 819-93. Florida State football coach and legend Bobby Bowden referred to Curry as the greatest hs QB he’s ever seen. High school rival and NFL star Michael Vick once stated that Curry is the greatest high school football player ever not just in VA but in the country.
