Twenty-Seventh Sunday After Pentecost Questions: Why doesn’t our church talk about salvation any more? How does the UMC define, view and treat the idea of “sin”? Does the church still have “revivals”? I think we do talk about salvation, for salvation is becoming the people God intended us to be, no more, no less. If sin is missing the mark, then we choose to focus on the target. An archer doesn’t practice by focusing on the misses, but focusing on the center.
