WCA World Championship 2019 First Place Multi-Blind: 51/54 in 59:06

A pretty bittersweet attempt given what happened with that one cube...I accidentally turned one layer a bit over 45 degrees on the fourth cube picked up during memo, which means that cube had to be DNFed after the attempt was over. If I didn't make that tiny little slip, this would have been 52/54, which would be a world record. Just gotta remind myself that 50 points isn't that great anyways, and I can crush it at US Nats in a couple weeks ;) Super stoked to get a World Champ title at my first ever worlds! Platinum member now wooohoo Also: Shivam, Mark and I destroyed the former MBLD world record podium by 29 points! Previous was 106 total points in one podium, this one was 135. A couple other fun facts: After this attempt, I have a 48.30 WB ao12, and my rolling official MBLD ao12 is 43.20! (also 47.33 official rolling ao5 and mo3) Memorization: 40:06 = 44.56 memo/cube. Bad for me in general just because I did an extra review of everything, but actually a decent speed considering that I did that extra review. Execution: 19:00 = 21.11 exec/cube. This is really bad lol. I average faster exec/cube than this on attempts where I don't safety the memo hardcore. And I safetied the memo haaaaard here.
