A severed hand is discovered after Riley, her closest friend Jade, and 17-year-old Mia go out to a party. Riley is possessed by Rhea's spirit, and Mia offers to go first. Riley gets taken over by the spirits and makes an attempt at suicide while the group tries to put an end to the possession. Haunted by Rhea's visions, Jade and Riley's mother Sue reject Mia and accuse her of causing Riley's injuries. Taking the hand in secret, she calls Rhea, who maintains that her death was an accident.
