Star Wars Pinball Game-Review For The WiiU

Star Wars Pinball Game-Review For The WiiU

This is my game-review of "Star Wars Pinball" for the WiiU The written game-review is also here; http://wiiuforums.com/wii-u-news-talk... So the people that brought us Zen Pinball 2 with all of their DLC tables has brought us Star Wars Pinball...BUT it is its own thing and is separate from ZP2...BUT it is the same types of tables, tables that had other franchise owned material like Marvel and Plants Vs Zombies tables...BUT I guess Lucas Arts and Star Wars needed to be in its own category instead of just some great new Star Wars DLC tables for ZP2...eh either way it here and available on the U now so this is my thoughts on it. Number one being that it didn't need its own category and could have been a part of ZP2 and just the same amount of people would have bought it. Point two is, Samo samo with a little bit new here and there. All the great stuff that you can do in ZP2 is here like tourney's, friends stats and team points, Multi-Player on and off-line, Split-Screen MP on your TV, the rankings and awards. The only real unique thing they added is the option to play and get Jedi/Light-side or Sith/Dark-side points while you game. You can also choose to go back and forth on them or for some kind of balance but it is a little vague on this overall. The tables themselves look and play great and feel the same as others I have played from Zen Studios. Also the Star Wars tables have a lot of different areas, cut-scenes, animations, voice-over, sound-effects, and music all from the Star Wars universe (which is great if you're a fan of this)...BUT again nothing that you haven't seen if you have played the other tables from this game. Besides being and having the Star Wars branding there really isn't anything mind-blowing new about the game-play on the tables themselves. The voice-overs are all over the place as well, for some characters it is the actor's voice from the movies or TV shows...BUT for most characters it is someone else doing their voices and you really can here the difference on this. As for the music and SFX that is all Star Wars and that all sounds fantastic. The start-up 3 pack of tables is going for $9.99 which is higher than what other group packs go for in the ZP2, you usually get 4 tables for that price...BUT this is new, so I get that. I personally don't think it is that bad, but when I saw that they spaces for 6 more tables in the games menu I knew that would probably mean that they will probably be in packs of 3 and each will be $9.99 each which is expensive overall and I personally don't think it's worth getting all of them unless they go on sale or maybe you can buy the, individually later. I feel and felt the same way about all the DLC tables from ZP2 as well. So unless you are a super fan of Star Wars I don't think it is worth getting all the tables, if you are a fan of ZP2 however than getting some of the Star Wars Pinball tables would totally be up your ally. This is what I wrote for my ZP2 Game-Review, "While I do believe this game will be well more liked and accepted by older gamers, I also do feel that these tables are truly challenging for any gamer. I do feel that anyone that gives this game a try will like it."...and this is how I still feel about this game overall. Many European's like ZP2 more than us Americans and it shows in the rankings and who comment's on the Miiverse communities. I personally like PZ2 and also Star Wars Pinball and would say for all to try the game. Although you can't demo SWP you can ZP2 so you can get a sense of how any and all tables play. Check out the Manuel because the learning curve can be high especially to gamers that never really got into Pinball until this game and most isn't shown what to do or how to do it, you will learn as you go. As a fan of just Star Wars and/or Pinball I would give this game a 4 out of 5...BUT being totally biased and understanding all the pros and cons I have to give this game a solid 3 out of 5. As for my review vid here I could only show a limited version of the things you can do but it is a good game and fun for all. If you have any questions on a certain part of the game leave a message, also if you want to see a 'Let's Play" of a certain games let me know too. Next Vid is of "???" NOTE That This vid was recorded on a HD-PVR so its 720p with a component cord connected and not 1080p connected with a HDMI. I have then put it in 1080p 60FPS in my Premier Pro editing software, but this vid doesn't show true 1080p. Trust me these games look so much better on the WiiU with the HDMI cord. Please Comment, Like, Sub, Favorite this vid if you liked it, it really helps me out and also so more people can watch it. Thank you and thxs for watching...
