Call of Duty 2: Big Red One - Campaign Walkthrough Mission 7: Gela Beach, Sicily (Operation Husky) -- "Operation Husky" is the sixth campaign mission in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. It covers the American 7th Army landing at Gela, an Italian coastal village as part of the Allied invasion of Sicily, the codename for which was Operation Husky. It is the second of three engagements in the Call of Duty series with the Regio Esercito, the Italian Royal Army. The chapter takes place July 10, 1943, 0300 hours. -- Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and High Voltage Software and published by Activision for GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Big Red One differs from other games in the Call of Duty franchise in that it focuses on a single Allied formation in World War II: the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, which goes by the nickname Big Red One due to their unit patch which features a large, red number one. The game covers the division's part in the North Africa Campaign, the invasion of Sicily, the landing on Omaha Beach in Europe and moving east, and eventually crossing the Siegfried Line into Germany.
